[Olug-list] SuSE 8.2 has trouble reading a second (NTFS) disk

Hello!
At present I have two hard drives. One with Windows 2000, another with
SuSE 8.2. GRUB starts up both without problems.
My only gripe so far is that SuSE does not read the Windows (NTFS)
disk. It does not show up in Konqueror or Nautilus. SuSE 8.1 both saw
and read the Windows 2000 disk without difficulty, and copying files
from the NTFS disk to the Linux one was very easy. Now Linux only sees
the second disk, and I wonder what has caused the failure to read the
NTFS disk. Probably there is some banal adjustment, but what is that?
It does show up in Yast Control Center as /dev/hda, but that is all.
The Linux disk is /dev/hdb.
The second disk does not show up there. I only see the hdb1, hdb2 and
hdb3. They are my /, home and swap partitions. The Windows disk does
not show up, and it is not listed in fstab either.
What am I to do in order to obtain read and copy access to the NTFS disk?
By the way, I have not one but four Windows NTFS partitions. All were
read without problems by SuSE 8.1 and Mandrake 9.1. SuSE 8.2 is a
better and faster Linux, but I need to be able to access the Windows disk.
Here is my fstab:
/dev/hdb1 / reiserfs defaults 1 1
/dev/hdb2 /home reiserfs defaults 1 2
/dev/hdb3 swap swap pri=42 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5
0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
usbdevfs /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs noauto 0 0
/dev/cdrom /media/cdrom auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0
/dev/cdrom11 /media/cdrom11 auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0
/dev/dvd /media/dvd auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto noauto,user,sync
